Caffeine works by blocking adenosine receptors in the brain — the same receptors that build up drowsiness as the day goes on. Following low to moderate doses, alertness, vigilance, attention and reaction time improve. At 70 mg — roughly two-thirds of a cup of coffee — it's a controlled, deliberate dose, not an overload. In Formula 01 it's paired with Dynamine™ so the activation comes up clean and holds, instead of spiking and dropping.

Dynamine™ is a purine alkaloid structurally related to caffeine. In a randomized crossover trial in healthy adults, a 100 mg dose improved concentration, motivation and mood across the hours following ingestion. It pairs with caffeine to extend the activation window — a fast onset, with a tail that holds rather than collapsing.

DMAE is an amine found naturally in the brain and in foods like anchovies and sardines. It's associated with the cholinergic system — the acetylcholine pathway tied to attention and mental clarity. In preclinical and clinical work, DMAE-related compounds raised choline and acetylcholine levels in the prefrontal cortex and supported memory performance.

Alpha-Yohimbine (rauwolscine) is a selective alpha-2 adrenergic receptor antagonist. By easing the brake that alpha-2 receptors put on norepinephrine release, it supports frontocortical noradrenaline and dopamine activity — the adrenergic "drive" layer of the formula. At 250 mcg it's a low, deliberate dose meant to add intensity, not to dominate.

Huperzine A, from the herb Huperzia serrata, is a potent, highly specific and reversible inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase — the enzyme that breaks down acetylcholine. By slowing that breakdown, it helps acetylcholine stay available longer. In Formula 01 it works alongside DMAE: DMAE supports the supply, Huperzine A helps preserve it across the session.
